At Glimpse, we want you to be completely satisfied with your personalized video. This refund policy outlines when and how refunds are processed for our Glimpse-powered video generation service.

Glimpse is operated by Glimpse Inc., a Texas-based company. All refunds are processed in accordance with Texas state law and applicable consumer protection regulations.

Understanding Our Service Stages

To understand our refund policy, it helps to know how our service works:

  1. Template Selection & Personalization: You choose a template, upload 3-5 photos, and add personalization details (names, messages, etc.).
  2. Payment: You complete payment ($14.99) to start the video generation process.
  3. Scene Generation: Glimpse creates a personalized likeness and generates individual scenes based on your photos and chosen template (typically 2-3 minutes).
  4. Scene Review & Approval: You review each generated scene and approve them. You can regenerate scenes with different photos if needed at no extra charge.
  5. Music Selection: You choose background music from our curated library that matches your video's mood.
  6. Final Video Assembly: We assemble all approved scenes, add text overlays, sync the music, and render your final video (typically 2-3 minutes).
  7. Video Delivery: Your completed video is available for download as an MP4 file and accessible via link for 30 days.

Refund Eligibility

100% Full Refund

You are eligible for a full refund in the following circumstances:

  • Technical Failures: If our service experiences a technical failure that prevents your video from being generated or delivered within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Unsatisfactory Likeness Quality: If after using the scene regeneration feature (which is free and unlimited during the review phase), the likeness quality remains significantly below acceptable standards before you approve scenes for final assembly.
  • Service Not Delivered: If we fail to deliver your completed video within the promised timeframe (typically 5-10 minutes total) due to our error.
  • Significant Quality Defects: If the final video has major technical issues (audio sync problems, corruption, missing scenes) that we cannot resolve.

50% Partial Refund

You are eligible for a 50% partial refund if:

  • After Scene Review, Before Final Assembly: You decide not to proceed after reviewing the generated scenes (even after regenerating), but before approving them for final video assembly.
  • Change of Mind During Process: You change your mind about completing the video after scenes have been generated but before final assembly begins.

Note: We invest significant computational resources in generating your personalized scenes, which is why partial refunds apply once generation has started.

No Refund

Refunds are not available in the following situations:

  • After Scene Approval & Final Assembly: Once you have approved all scenes and clicked to proceed to final video assembly, the service is considered delivered. At this point, you have reviewed and approved all content.
  • After Video Delivery: Once your completed video has been delivered and is available for download, no refunds are available.
  • Change of Mind After Completion: If you simply change your mind after approving scenes or receiving the completed video.
  • Minor Likeness Variations: Our personalized likenesses use advanced technology, but perfect photographic accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Minor variations in likeness quality do not qualify for refunds, as you have the opportunity to regenerate scenes during the review phase before approval.
  • Subjective Preferences: Refunds are not available for subjective preferences about music choice, scene composition, or creative decisions that you approved during the review process.
  • User Error: If you provided incorrect photos, wrong names, or other incorrect information that affected the final video, refunds are not available. Please review all inputs carefully before submission.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us within 7 days of your purchase or the date you first became aware of the issue:

  • Include your project link, order number, or the email address used for purchase
  • Provide a brief explanation of why you're requesting a refund

We will review your request and respond within 2-3 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days after approval.

Refund Processing

  • Refunds are processed through Stripe, our payment processor, to your original payment method.
  • Processing times may vary depending on your bank or credit card company. Typically, refunds appear in your account within 5-10 business days.
  • If you paid with a credit card, the refund will be credited to that card. If the card is no longer active, please contact us for alternative arrangements.
  • Once a refund is processed, your project and associated video will be permanently deleted from our systems in accordance with our data retention policy.

Special Circumstances

Duplicate Charges

If you notice a duplicate charge on your account, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and issue a full refund for any duplicate charges.

Unauthorized Charges

If you believe your payment method was used without authorization, please contact us immediately. We will work with you and your payment provider to resolve the issue.

Service Interruptions

In the event of extended service interruptions or outages that prevent you from completing your video, we will offer appropriate refunds or service credits at our discretion.

Texas Consumer Rights

As a Texas-based business, we comply with all applicable state and federal consumer protection laws. Texas consumers have the right to:

  • Receive clear and accurate information about our refund policy
  • Dispute charges through their payment provider if they believe a refund is warranted
  • File a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office if they believe their consumer rights have been violated
